Sharon T Bryant is a Contemporary Christian Artist and a talented singer, songwriter, pianist and drummer. She writes, arranges and produces all of her music and plays all piano/keyboard/percussion and orchestra parts.  Her music and testimony are energizing, exciting and deeply moving. About her ministry she says "I believe that God does give us the desires of our heart, and my desire is to share the beauty and power of his grace in every service I play." She does that with amazing energy.  Her programs are filled with moving stories of conflict, despair and triumph.  Her music is uplifting and inspiring.  She has released two cd's, "First Christmas" and "First Praise" and is currently working on the new cd "First Cup" which is slated for release this year.  It will feature 12 new original songs.

ABOUT "A MOTHER'S HEART"

"A Mothers Heart" is  about my one and only son.  When he was deployed to Iraq I felt totally helpless.  I attended rallies, glued myself to the news and worried endlessly.  In my mind I knew that as an 18 year old young man, my son made his own decision to join the army.  But, in my heart, I felt that my little boy had been ripped from my arms and placed in a situation that surely meant certain death.  You see, day to day, minute to minute, the fear is unbearable. Every time the phone rings, my heart JUMPS.  Every time the names of the fallen are read, my heart STOPS.  Every word my son writes or speaks may be the last one I ever hear or read. 

"A Mother's Heart" is emotional because it is REAL.  I took the words from my son's letters and combined them with words from my dad's letters to my grandmother 55 years ago when he served in Korea.  The result is a 3 minute journey into the EXPERIENCE of war.  For the thousands of mothers who have sent their children into combat, this song is for you.




 
ADOPT A WOUNDED SOLDIER!
                         

Please consider adopting one of the three families of the wounded from my son's platoon.    Remember once a soldier goes off of active duty, his family benefits are greatly diminished.  For many of these families, this means that the young wives and mothers have to support the entire family while caring for the children, the household and the disabled husband.  Youth groups, sunday school classes or entire churches can participate by contacting our managment team at 816-232-2974 OR by purchasing cd's or by making donations of any amount to www.unmetneeds.org.  

Remember our troops.  They are fighting a real war with real consequences.
